I'm looking to buy Adobe CS6 Master Collection as opposed to the monthly Creactive Cloud versions now available but don't know where to buy them from. I have found copies on sites such as eBay but not sure if they're pirate copies and whether Adobe will accept them or if I'll be penalised for using them in the event that they turn out to be illegal copies. Please advise, your help is greatly appreciated.

It's a scam, run away! He has one more available at a reasonable price. Adobe does not acknowledge CS6 anymore, however it still works on my PC and edits my photos etc. I'm glad it worked for you but buying software on eBay or any other auction site is still very risky.
