Megan's life isn't going well. I loved his descriptions the most. I enjoyed the movie years ago and just happened upon these books - Very glad I did. Lincoln Rhyme is supposed to be a curmudgeon, I get it, but he comes across as simply unlikeable just for kicks, I might go back into the text and count how many times he "barks" his responses to people. The characters are rather stereotypical and their burgeoning relationship a slight distraction from the real story, but I found it interesting following the threads of the case as they unravelled.
