I'am trying to run Cubase, Reaktor, and Reason all at once. There's a couple of free programs that can help lower your ram usage. This tutorial will focus upon optimization in Reaktor Core. I'll cover various methods of reducing CPU, and go over a simple technique to use for testing. Regarding CPU usage: TRK uses Reaktor which is single core, so it naturally uses a ton of CPU. Even on my 6 Core several instances of it get my CPU usage.

How do you freeze a track in cubase? I've been boucning my vst tracks from reaktor to wav files and then bringing them back into cubase. But after I do that I can't edit anymore. I think there is also an option in reason to choose the amount of CPU the programs uses. You can try lowering it and let the other programs use more CPU and vica versa. You also can choose through task manager which programs have hi and low priority.
If using a multicore be careful of using sends.

It really blows me away with the sound, features, and user library. Am I thinking about this the wrong way? I think you are right. Besides some eqs and comps most of the synths and "experimental" effects in reaktor is "enough". If not included frre in the user library available as separates products for Reaktor. With 6 Its even easier to patch your rsaktor stuff too!
Eric J. My Studio. I've often considered the same thing and in some ways I would agree. The only exception might be Kontakt, since having a good sampler is a must, IMO. I bought komplete reatkor used and kind of reaktor 6 cpu usage free it, but it's an infinite pile of fun once you start digging.
Only thing I need to upgrade is reaktor to 6 and my head will reaktor 6 cpu usage free again. As much as Reaktor can do, as much performance it reaktor 6 cpu usage free. I once tried to make a song only on reaktor and had to stop half way thru due to performance reasons.
Other synths are easier on the CPU and might be easier to use if you use a lot of automation. If you get Komplete you will have even more choices and options. It could keep you busy for years! That said, even though I have Komplete and quite a few other soft synths, there is one that I turn clu most due to the amazing sound quality, ease of modulation and great flexibility: Xfer Serum.
Of course it depends a bit on what you want to do with your reaktor 6 cpu usage free. If you want a more vintage analogue synth type of sound, Diva might be worth considering.
Even though Serum can do that too but Diva does it without you having to tweak anything or add wave tables. If you get Komplete, Monark might fit that bill though. There are so many options out there I'm sure you will get plenty of recommendations in deaktor thread but there is no point in getting too much in one go or you will never reaktof any of them in depth It sounds great, is light on the CPU usgae is fairly easy to tweak if that is your wont.
The problem with having just one synth is every thing sounds like that one synth and you may run into a wall trying to produce the sound in your head. Komplete is a good idea--Reaktor, FM8, Absynth, Massive and Kontakt will give you a huge palette of sound to run barefoot through. Love Reaktor, cp For some stuff other synths are useful, since they can make your live A LOT easier.
Stuff Reaktor does not really rewktor that well: - Multisampling Kontakt, Falcon - classic additive stuff e. All of that stuff is possible, but harder work than in other environments.
