The game would run fine to begin with, but after a few days, it no longer works, it freezes after starting a game, just when the map appears.

Nothing moves, no command responds, the mission briefing message doesn't even appear. I'm running Win bits. The only thing that works is to restart the computer. I usually put it in sleep mode, and after a few days, it no longer works.
